Drumposition in the Temple - but nahh
Jackoranda only had 2 on stage, Instagragm says they're a 4 piece. Soul feel apparently. Very emotional set, heart 'n' soul poured into the music. Would give 'em another try if the 4 piece version includes electricity and drums, but as a two piece acoustic guitar unit, not really my thing. Edit: bandcamp says would see again. Major kudos for getting half a band together on what I understand was minutes' notice when Fevermind pulled out. One 30 second protrait video of their last song.
The band that had me choosing Clancy's tonight, Lakefield Temple were on 2nd. Covered Bruuuuuuce! (Born to Run), but no Temper Trap. 😞 I like 'em more than I remember, will have to reread last Lakefield entry. Sax in the Springsteen cover was on point, band are tight, also in Bandcamp, and have 'lotsa new stuff coming out soon'. Watch this space. I only got one video and only most of a song in it, and it's portrait. Curse you, instagram! Will see again.
Place looked to be filling up for eleven am, but could be wrong - it might actually have reduced with Lakefield leaving.
Bass is practising and making it hard to write coz aural distraction. Then the drummer's copying beat of dance song on the PA. Long time to start, but it was fun. Standard 4-piece - lead vox on lead. And they just rock, when they finally got there. Will see again, they like to rock the rock and apart from being beset by technical problems (string break 30 seconds into a song!), were really good at it. I managed to take my first video of the night.
Humming. Like lots. Good solid rock and roll. Will see again. Got video of new single 'Glimpses' coz some weirdo took a pic of the set list 😁 Bass on lead vox, but wasn't always lead vox, sometimes lead guitar was, but I'm sure for one song at least, he wasn't lead guitar. I like a multitasking band! They play rock and they're good at it. Might be worth finding out a bit more about 'em.
Bloody good night even if I didn't capture sweet disposition. Rock rocks!
