Punched by a Loveshovel in the Skortz

Skortz are like a female Chasing Jayme - ie a two-piece with lead g/vox and a drummer - with a bunch more attitude. Video issues came back to haunt me for their set so I don't have any clips. Rock is good, lead likes to take up a fair chunk of stage moving about (even more so than Chasing Jayme's lead) so a good band to watch. Will see again and get better video. 😁

A wild, raucous set followed. Mood Punch, a five-piece loud, in your face - and on your dancefloor - band. Barefoot guitarists, guitarists playing on their backs, lead singer in the crowd, Mood Punch have got it all - and they rock.

Loveshovel finished the night. High energy, chick-led, in your face surf(?)-punk. Crowd favourites and crowd pleasers. Haven't heard of them before, but their story indicates they've been around for a while. They mentioned a name change which explains some of that - I didn't quite catch their previous name (legit) when lead vox said who they were, but it sounded close to unprintable and involved goats. 🤣
