Scurry to Ber Ber Bernn

First up, who'd I miss? The gig comprised Announcer, Jreamin and All My Nights as well as Ber Ber Bernn headlining. I made it to see the last two sets. sigh. Not entirely my fault as Transperth's detour through their pointless roadworks during the railway uglification project send you in entirely the wrong direction

All My Nights are really good. Debut single (circa mid 2024) is 'Patience', though there's an earlier song 'Take me home'. I really like these guys. Bass is funky and guitar is bass-ey. Singer could move around a bit more during the quiet places, but when they turn it up and the whole band is rocking they go up a level. Spoke to guitarist about doing vinyl and took a video of the single. Will see again. They're playing Rosemount on 18/01/25.

Ber Ber Bernn look have a few fans. Wow did the place fill up. They look like a good-time party band, but they are guitar heavy, riff heavy rockers! The band's second single Scurry had recently launched and the night was to celebrate that event. Bands helping bands - lead singer broke a string on his guitar. Saved by a lend of a guitar from an earlier band set. "Ohhh, this one is nice" :-D Powerhouse drumming makes the kit sound like a fifth instrument, not just the rhythm driver. Definitely one of the best drummers I've heard in Perth. Band are good with crowdwork and can get a crowd dancing like few original bands I've seen. Definitely going again!
