Up 'n' coming
Hidden away near the tunnel entrance lies a small crowd pub, Old Habits - coz it's on Old Aberdeen Place, see -- Perth band Homebrand were throwing a little party for bands and friends, it seemed. There could not have been thirty people there and 11 of them were playing!
I missed Rosalie Chilvers (mcalex timing). By all reports, her show rocked!
Foothead's set was really good, but marred a li'l by technical difficulties. Ceebs and Cost of Living went off, but why no vocals from Anabel? Must find 'Dinosaur' song. A band to watch out for, methinks.
Sick Visor (from Melbourne) brought the energy in a major way. Was not expecting a cover of '5, 6, 7, 8', but it worked. So did 'My legs feel good in my pants' the reason for which's existence is exactly what you'd expect and single 'Tricycle'. Looks like they know how to have fun on the other side of the sandpit, even if it is too cold.
Last band of the evening was Homebrand, and their singles Embrace the Mess, Where did the time go? and The Trouble were (small) crowd favourites and are great for singing along with.
