Wunderhorse rocks Perth!

Sept. 26, 2025

Oh man! Wunderhorse are finally here!

Headsend were the support band. Bloody good rock! I don't appear to have a full songvid, which is a pity. The band were a fantastic choice for support and though RocksPerth would always like to see local rockers supporting the stars, I cannot fault the selection of Headsend. Guys, please tour WA again.

Wunderhorse were awesome. All the hits, all the good stuff that could/should be hits. Not massively interactive with the punters, but they spoke through the music. And the crowd were speaking back! I don't think they expected us to sing every single song along with them, but it seems everyone there knew all the words to all the song.s Knowing the setlist helps, I captured my favourites, Leader of the Pack, July and Teal, but got jostled about too much to get Rain properly.

Would see again. In fact, if it wasn't for All My Nights playing tomorrow, I would have been hanging around Freo.Social the night after to see if i could score at-the-door tickets.

Now, there's a couple differences between a local gig and an international concert. One being you can't just walk up to the front of the audience if you have a camera (or a phone that looks a lot like a camera 😙🎵). Another is the concert finishes a lot earlier than the average gig, and so you find yourself walking to the car around 10.30. So given I was in Fremantle, I thought I'd wander down to Clancy's just to see what was happening. And I'm glad I did, there was some reggae-rock playing and I got there in time to catch the end of NUI's set. I caught Roots, Rock, Reggae - yeah it's a cover, but it's the great Bob Marley, and those three words hint at the universality of music, which I seem to be about more and more these days.
